August 2012 My real estate career began in 1992 when I joined Royal Lepage. After several years as a residential realtor, I began to branch out with an occasional commercial transaction and decided to take some training and courses to become a commercial real estate practitioner. For the next eight years or so, I worked to establish a Commercial Division within my real estate board, with the generous help of neighbouring board’s Commercial Division Directors. In 2002 I became a member of the Canadian Commercial Council and the BC Commercial Council. Over the years, my commercial practise has included extensive experience in sales and leasing of commercial/industrial properties, land assembly, site selection, rezoning, and land development. My community involvement since 2008 has been somewhat related to my profession. I have served as a member of the Chilliwack Downtown Neighbourhoods Plan working committee in 2008, a member of the Mayor’s Housing Committee since 2009, and a member of the Design Review Panel for the City of Chilliwack. It’s been very rewarding to work with City staff and the community to improve the quality of life of Chilliwack residents and to play a small part in shaping the future of our community.
